WARRANTY
Regent Skylight Systems Pty Ltd (here after referred to as Regent) warrants to the original Customer that the goods supplied and manufactured by Regent to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 7 years from date of purchase. Goods supplied but not manufactured by Regent shall carry the same warranty as provided by their respective manufacturer’s details of which shall be provided in writing on request.
Any and all claims under the warranty must be in writing quoting the invoice date, invoice number and description of goods subject of the claim.
This warranty is void if :
1. Installation or building in of the goods is not in accordance with the manufacturers’ written installation instructions.
2. Faults are caused by the attachment of any unauthorised fixtures or accessories.
3. Deterioration caused by salt spray, environmental chemical or industrial fallout.
4. Damage due to the use of any chemical cleaning agent not approved by Regent.
5. Damage caused by storm, tempest, flood or fire.
6. Damage caused by accident, misuse or negligence or lack of maintenance.
7. Damage caused by replacement part not of Regent’s manufacture or supply.
Liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the faulty component part of the goods or the replacement of the whole item at Regent’s discretion and excludes any consequential damages. Installation or building in is excluded from this warranty unless the original work was carried out by Regent, in which case the warranty shall be limited to installing or building in of the replaced component or the replaced item of goods to the extent of the original work forming part of our responsibility. Any associated or consequential work is specifically excluded from the warranty.
GOVERNING LAW: these conditions of sale shall be governed by the law and under the jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Queensland.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
STATUTORY RIGHTS: The Customers’ rights under the Trade Practices Act and any other statutory rights shall remain unaffected by this Conditions of Sale.
ENTIRE CONTRACT: The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the conditions set out herein are all the conditions of the contract excepting additional conditions which may have been agreed to in writing and signed by a duly authorized officer of Regent.
INFORMATION: Information provided by Regent for the use of the goods is given in good faith but without obligation. The Customer agrees that it shall be responsible for determining the suitability of the goods for their intended purpose and compliance with relevant statutory requirements of installations in which goods are used. The goods supplied shall be in accordance with descriptions and specifications confirmed in writing by Regent if so required, otherwise they may be the same or similar and may vary from the illustrations and information shown in publications.
ORDER VARIATIONS: Order variations will not be accepted for any special goods completed whether delivered or not. Should cancellations occur during manufacturing of special goods the Customer shall fully indemnify Regent for all costs incurred up to the time of receipt of cancellation by Regent’s responsible officer. Standard goods painted to Customers’ requirements shall be treated as special goods.
DELAYS: The delivery date indicated is an estimate only. Regent shall be under no consequential liability for any loss or damages if the goods are not delivered by the estimated date.
RISKS: Risk for damages to the goods shall pass to the Customer at the time of receipt of the goods by the Customer, or its carrier.
RETURNS: Returns for credit shall only be accepted for standard stock goods within 7 days of receipt of goods and shall be subject to the following conditions: 1. A return number must be obtained from Regent before dispatch of returns. 2. Return freight cartage prepaid, with documents listing return number, invoice number and full description of products as per original invoice must accompany returns. 3. Goods returned must be received by Regent in their original packaging, unopened and unmarked in as new condition. 4. All returns received in good order and condition shall attract a handling and restocking fee of 25%.
CLAIMS: All claims for short supplies or damaged goods must be made within 7 days from receipt of goods.
TERMS OF PAYMENT: Payments for product is cash on delivery unless a 30 day credit account is approved in writing prior to the sale. Credit accounts are due for payment within 30 days the last day of the month in which deliveries are made.
TITLE TO GOODS: Title of goods shall remain with Regent, who may at any time dispose of the goods. The customer shall act as a bailee for the goods and shall mark the goods for storage as the property of Regent and shall allow to Regent unrestricted access to the goods at anytime unless : Payments are received by Regent for the goods in full : or The Customer sells the goods in ordinary course of business, in which case it shall act in a fiduciary capacity for Regent and shall account fully for the proceeds of the sale.

The skylight system illustrations contained in this brochure are the sole property of Regent Skylight Systems Pty. Ltd. and are reserved under copyright law. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the selected skylight system complies with the relevant building codes and authorities requirements. Regent Skylight Systems Pty. Ltd. reserves the right to improve or modify the skylight systems at any time.
